Thomas J. Lax is Associate Curator of Media and Performance Art at MoMA. Prior, he worked at The Studio Museum Harlem NY. He is a faculty member at the Institute for Curatorial Practice in Performance at Wesleyan University’s Center for the Arts and on the Advisory Committee Vera List Center for Arts. He holds a BA from Brown University in Africana Studies and Art/Semiotics and an MA in Modern Art from Columbia University. In 2015, he received the Walter Hopps Award for Curatorial Achievement.
